Practicing

 

Okay, so you want to work out with somebody and not just go out and hit balls randomly.  What do you do?  Here are a few suggestions.

           

         Session 1:

 

Spend 5 minutes just hitting and loosening up.

5 minutes -1 player up and 1 player back forehand sides.  Crosscourt forehand volleys to forehands.  Switch 5 minutes.

5 minutes -1 player up and 1 player back backhand sides.  Crosscourt backhand volleys to backhands.  Switch 5 minutes.

5 minutes – 1 yard inside service line between sideline and center service line –volley/volley

5 minutes – overheads and switch

Serve and volley points 5 min fh to fh, switch, bh to bh and switch crosscourt play only

Total time: 60 minutes

 

 Session 2:

Spend 5 minutes just hitting and loosening up.

Serve and return 5 minutes deuce court, switch

Serve and return 5 minutes ad court, switch

1 player up, 1 back, volley then overhead alternately 5 minutes and switch

10 minutes rally crosscourt deuce side trying to move forward and win points keeping

score

10 minutes rally crosscourt ad side trying to move forward and win points keeping score

5 minutes serve and volley deuce, switch

5 minutes serve and volley ad, switch

Total time: 75 minutes
